How to use

With a portable stove

1. Check the can is not dented and the rim seal is intact.
2. Open the stove's canister housing and put the lever in the unlocked position.
3. Line up the notch on the can's collar with the guide inside the housing — the can seats only one way round.
4. Lay the can in flat and push the lever down until you hear a firm click. No click means it is not seated — do not light it.
5. Turn the knob to ignite, then adjust the flame with the same knob.
6. When finished, turn the knob fully off, let the burner cool, then release the lever and lift the can out.

To use the can with a ZORACook torch

1. Turn the torch off and let it cool completely.
2. Mount the Handheld Butane Torch on top of the can outdoors or in a well-ventilated space, away from any flame or spark. To refill the Brass Blow Torch instead, fill it from the can.
3. Light the Handheld Butane Torch with its trigger. The Brass Blow Torch has a fixed, steady flame, an On/Off safety lock and its own ignition button.

What is a CRV valve and why does it matter?

CRV is a safety valve on the can's rim that vents pressure before a can can rupture in heat. Cans without it are riskier in Indian summers and in a car boot. Ours has it.

Is butane gas safe to store at home?

Yes, when stored correctly. Keep cans in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, heat sources and open flame. Never store in a parked car in summer. Keep out of reach of children. Do not puncture, incinerate or use a dented or damaged can.

Can I carry a butane can on a train or flight?
