Every butane can prints two weights: gross (can + gas) and net (the gas you actually get). Net is the number that matters, and it is where cheap cans quietly cut corners.

How to use

With a portable stove

1. Check the can is not dented and the rim seal is intact.
2. Open the stove's canister housing and put the lever in the unlocked position.
3. Line up the notch on the can's collar with the guide inside the housing — the can seats only one way round.
4. Lay the can in flat and push the lever down until you hear a firm click. No click means it is not seated — do not light it.
5. Turn the knob to ignite, then adjust the flame with the same knob.
6. When finished, turn the knob fully off, let the burner cool, then release the lever and lift the can out.

To refill a butane torch

1. Turn the torch off and let it cool completely.
2. Hold the torch upside down and keep the can upright.
3. Press the can's nozzle into the torch's refill valve and hold for 5–10 seconds.
4. Wait about 2 minutes before lighting, so the gas settles.

Safety instructions

• Ventilation. Use only in a well-ventilated space. Never inside a closed room, a tent or a car.
• Heat. Store below 40°C and out of direct sunlight. Never leave cans in a parked car in summer.
• Pan size. Do not use a pan wider than the stove's supports — trapped heat can overheat the can underneath.
• One can at a time. Never fit a second can, and never warm a can to speed up the flow.
• Damaged cans. Do not use a dented, rusted or leaking can. Never puncture or incinerate a can, even an empty one.
• Children. Store out of their reach.
• Travel. Not permitted on flights and restricted on trains — buy fuel at your destination.

How much gas is in this pack?

Two cans at 225g net fill each, so 450g of butane in total. 225g is above the 220g Indian standard, and well above the 180–190g found in many cheap unbranded cans sold at the same price.

How long will 2 cans last?

Roughly 4–5 hours of stove cooking on a medium flame — about 2–2.5 hours per can. On a high flame expect less, on a low simmer considerably more.

Is the pack of 2 cheaper than buying singles?

Yes — ₹174.50 per can instead of ₹199. Larger packs drop further, down to ₹133.25 per can in the Pack of 12.

Will these fit my stove or torch?

Yes, if it uses the standard cassette-type connection — all ZORACook stoves and torches do, as do most cassette stoves sold in India. Do not use threaded screw-on canisters, which are a different standard and will not connect. See cassette vs screw-on.

Are these cans refillable?

No. Butane cans are single-use — once empty they are disposed of, not refilled. What gets refilled from a can is a butane torch.
