How to use
- Bring the lighter to the burner first. Hold the extended nose just above the burner ring, before any gas is flowing.
- Turn on the gas. Open the stove knob and ignite within a second or two — never let gas build up before sparking.
- Press the button. One firm press produces the spark. If it does not catch within two presses, turn the gas off, let it clear, and try again.
- Check the flame. Confirm the burner is properly lit before walking away, and turn the gas knob fully off after cooking.
- Store it dry. Wipe off any oil splatter and keep it away from the burner and out of reach of children.
Spark lighter, not a flame lighter. This produces a spark, not a standing flame, so it will not light a diya, candle or agarbatti. For those, use the Arc BBQ Lighter (₹189) with its flexible neck.

Frequently asked questions
Q: What is the best electronic gas lighter for an Indian kitchen?
A: The ZORACook Spark Gas Lighter (₹129) is a top choice — electronic piezo ignition rated for 10,000+ sparks with no batteries or gas needed. Works on all Indian gas stoves.
Q: Does this lighter need batteries or gas?
A: No. It uses piezo-electronic ignition — press the button and a spark is generated mechanically. Nothing to refill or recharge, ever. It is a spark lighter, not a flame lighter, so it will not light a diya or agarbatti — use the Arc BBQ Lighter for that.
Q: How long will it last?
A: The piezo mechanism is rated for 10,000+ sparks, which is years of normal daily kitchen use. Spark strength stays consistent throughout, unlike gas lighters that lose pressure.
Q: How is this different from the Premium Steel Gas Lighter?
A: Both use piezo ignition and are rated for 10,000+ sparks. The Spark (₹129) has a modern matte-black body with a smoother button and is the lighter of the two; the Premium Steel (₹149) has a full stainless steel body for extra durability in a heavy-use family kitchen.
Q: Can I use it for candles and agarbatti?
A: No — it produces a spark, not a flame, so it is optimised for gas-stove ignition. For candles, diyas, agarbatti and hard-to-reach spots, the Arc BBQ Lighter with its 360° flexible neck is the right tool.
Q: Is it suitable for elderly family members?
A: Yes — the button needs minimal pressing force and the ~80g body is easy to hold, with an extended nose that keeps hands away from the flame.
Q: Which payment methods do you accept?
A: All of them — cash on delivery, UPI, credit and debit cards, wallets and net banking. Delivery is free across India with no minimum order value.
