How to use

1. Fill the torch first. With the torch off and completely cool, hold it upside down and the can upright, press the can's nozzle into the refill valve for 5–10 seconds, then wait about 2 minutes before lighting.
2. Release the safety lock. Disengage it before attempting ignition.
3. Ignite and set the flame. Press the trigger to light, then adjust — low and soft for caramelising, tight blue jet for searing and coals.
4. Work in short passes. Keep the torch moving 3–5 cm above the surface rather than holding it in one spot.
5. Shut down. Release the trigger, engage the safety lock, and let the nozzle cool fully before storing or refilling.

Safety instructions

• This is a flame tool reaching about 1,300°C — treat it accordingly.
• Use in a well-ventilated area, away from curtains, paper, cloth and anything flammable.
• Never point the flame at people, pets, or at a gas can.
• Engage the safety lock whenever it is not in use, and never leave a lit torch unattended.
• Refill only when the torch is completely cool and away from any flame. Keep spare cans well clear while refilling.
• Let the nozzle cool fully before storing — it stays hot for several minutes.
• Store the four cans together, upright, below 40°C, out of direct sunlight and away from the stove. Never in a parked car in summer, and never puncture or incinerate a can.
• Keep out of reach of children. Adult use only.

Is four cans too much for a torch alone?

Each 225g can refills a handheld torch several times, so four cans is a long supply. It makes most sense if you also run a portable stove on the same cans, or use the torch several times a week.

Is a torch gun the same as a culinary torch?

Yes. Torch gun, flame gun, culinary torch and kitchen blow torch all describe this trigger-grip butane torch. It is butane, not LPG — it does not connect to an LPG cylinder.

Do butane cans expire?

Unopened cans stored upright in a cool, dry place keep for years. Check each can for dents, rust or a damaged rim before use and discard any that look compromised.
